About the author
Jonathan Page.
A writer of short fiction, from intimate human dramas to the unsettling and unexpected.
Biography
The writing.
Jonathan Page writes stories about people under pressure: the choices they make, the beliefs they hold, and the connections that survive.
His fiction moves between literary drama, suspense, and speculative worlds. A lighthouse keeper faces one last storm. A potter’s hands begin to fail as her daughter prepares to leave home. A professor opens a book that makes moral judgment uncomfortably personal.
Place is part of the pressure. His stories range from the waters off Montauk and the Arctic polar night to the workshops of Ciqikou, Brooklyn courtrooms, and the subterranean routines of a New York working day.
Jonathan is a three-time winner of the Reedsy Prompts weekly writing contest, for “Lost and Found,” “The Lantern of Kaamos,” and “The Porcelain Village.” Three further stories have been shortlisted. “Lost and Found” was selected for PROMPTED, Issue 04, where it appeared under the byline Don Fazio.
